Shamrock Farm gourmet, fresh market garlic is simply fantastic! We have grown garlic in our fields for over ten years. Our seed originally came from Germany. This variety of ‘ophio’ garlic is outstanding.

We do not use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides on our garlic. We practice crop rotation to keep diseases away from the garlic. Each bulb is planted by hand in the fall for harvest the following summer. We weed the garlic by hand in the spring. Once the garlic is mature and the weather is ideal, we hand pull the plants. Both time of harvest and the curing environment are extremely important to us. As soon as the garlic is harvested it is graded, then bundled in groups of ten and hung in the barn to cure slowly for at least three weeks.

A limited amount of our pure garlic powder and sweet pickled garlic preserves are available for sale directly from the farm in October.

Reservations for Shamrock Farm fresh garlic are available. Please contact us at the farm if you would like to place an order for this year’s crop.
