In 2007 we planted a small apple orchard. These trees are now producing delicious ‘beyond’ orchard apples.

In 2009 we sold our first crop of apples. The Shamrock Farm orchard currently consists of King, Spartan, and Ambrosia apples. This spring we planted some lovely heritage apple varieties, which were bought from Denman Island Heritage Apple Tree Nursery. These include Gravenstein, Blenheim Orange, Karmijn de Sonnaville, Pomme Gris, Spigold, Wickson crab and John Downe crab.

We always follow organic practices. We do not use non-organic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides or fungicides on our apple trees. We recognize the importance of protecting the natural environment. Our mason bees and honeybees pollinate the apple blossoms in spring. We use the application of manure, careful pruning, irrigation, hand weeding, and hopefully great weather to produce beautiful apples.

This year’s fresh picked apples and apple jelly will be available for sale directly from the farm in October (daily 10am to 5pm) during the fall harvest.
